Inmates serving prison sentence

A.Prison:

In principle, the Prison admits first-time or repeat-offense adult males with a sentence of ten years or less. The Prison also admits male adult offenders who are under the direction of Hsinchu District Public Prosecutors’ Office with sentence of one year or more. The authorized occupancy number is set at 1,674.

B.Auxiliary facilities and units:

1. Rehabilitation and Treatment Center – for inmates receiving rehabilitation treatment.
2. Vocational Training Center – offers training in computer software application, bread making, Chinese noodle dishes, Chinese cooking and so on.

  Hsinchu division prison – handled by Hsinchu Detention House which admits offenders with sentence of less than one year.
