The Investigation and Classification Section of Hsinchu Prison, Agency of Corrections, Ministry of Justice, provides a series of courses for inmates during the three months prior to their release. The curriculum includes introductions to employment service centers and various social welfare programs. Social workers or supervisors from employment service centers, The Taiwan After-Care Association, and Social Welfare Department are invited into the prison to present relevant resources. These sessions help inmates gain an early understanding of available services and prepare for life after release, thereby supporting their social adaptation and reintegration.

Within the program, inmates who wish to obtain more in-depth information regarding post-release life arrangements may also receive individualized counseling arranged through the course. This allows prison social workers to initiate referrals in advance, ensuring that inmates can better connect to the appropriate community resources after their release.
