  1. The authorized detention capacity of our penitentiary is 1,674 people.
  2. Inmates serving prison sentences
    1. In principle, we house male inmates  serving a sentence of less than 10 years, whether they are first offenders or recidivists.
    2. Furthermore, we also accommodate male inmates serving sentences longer than 1 year sent here by Hsin Chu Local Court and Procuratorate.
    3. Moreover, other male inmates that meet the prerequisite stipulations of prison transfer can also be housed here.
  3. People receiving rehabilitation (detoxification) treatment
    1. In principle, we house male inmates receiving rehabilitation (detoxification) treatment sent here by the Hsin Chu Local Court and Procuratorate
    2. Furthermore, we also house male inmates receiving rehabilitation (detoxification) treatment sent here by the Tao Yuan District Court and Procuratorate.
    3. Moreover, other male inmates receiving rehabilitation (detoxification) treatment transferred from other rehabilitation centers can also be housed here.
  4. Auxiliary facilities and units
    1. Rehabilitation and Treatment Center – for inmates receiving rehabilitation treatment.
    2. Vocational Training Center – offers training in computer software application, bread making, Chinese noodle dishes, Chinese cooking and so on.
    3. Hsinchu division prison – handled by Hsinchu Detention House which admits offenders with sentence of less than one year.
