I. Food and Dining
-
Meal Provision: The facility provides three meals a day for inmates. To improve the quality of food supply, correctional institutions implement regional joint procurement to reduce costs through bulk buying. Additionally, subsidies are allocated from operational surpluses, consumer cooperative balances, and proceeds from the sale of kitchen waste or used cooking oil to enhance inmates' living conditions and dietary quality.
-
Daily Menu & Transparency: * Breakfast: Includes congee, soy milk, steamed buns (mantou), pickled vegetables, jam, and eggs.
-
Lunch and Dinner: Consists of three dishes and one soup, with fruit provided periodically.
-
Public Inspection: Refrigerated display cases are installed in the visitation area and the kitchen to display samples of the day's meals for family members' reference. When necessary, food samples are stored in kitchen refrigerators for sanitary inspection.
-
-
Dietary Improvement Committee: A dedicated group has been established to oversee and improve meal quality to maintain inmate health and nutrition.
II. Clothing and Bedding
The facility provides clothing necessary for daily life. In summer, each inmate is issued one short-sleeved uniform and two pairs of shorts. In winter, one pair of long trousers and one jacket are provided. Undergarments and undershirts are purchased and distributed as needed based on actual requirements to ensure sufficient supplies.
III. Housing and Accommodation
-
Capacity: Inmates are assigned to cells based on the floor area of each room.
-
Resource Conservation: To implement energy-saving and carbon-reduction policies and to cultivate habits of valuing resources, the facility has established regulations regarding the scheduled use of water, fans, and lighting to avoid waste.
-
Ventilation and Water Supply: * Exhaust fans are installed in all cells to promote airflow.
-
Water is supplied at scheduled intervals according to daily routines.
-
Each cell is equipped with a water storage bucket for inmates' use.
