Training Purpose:

In order to diversify the technical training program, we cooperated with Tao-zhu-Miao Branch of the Workforce Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor to assist the inmates serving prison sentence to learn standard procedures and professional skills of hand-brewed coffee and light meal products, train diversified professional functions to promote their employment, re-enter the social environment, and provide labor force talents for coffee and light meal catering industry in order to give back to the society.

Training Targets:

• No record of violation or minor violation with discretion and exemption within the last six months.
• Those who are eligible to apply for parole or leave prison within five years after completion of training.
• Non-segregated offenders.

Teaching methods:

• Academic subject: Use classroom teaching and group discussion, and combined with multimedia material and alternate demonstration explanations to improve interest and efficiency of learning.
• Skill subject: Six steps should be taken to enhance the ability of combination application, innovation, breakthrough and expression of professional skills by means of "teaching aids preparation," "explanation and demonstration," "hands-on implementation," "evaluation test," "summary and discussion" and "learning report."

Expected results:

This training course, in cooperation with the Tao-zhu-Miao Branch of the Workforce Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor, invests and introduces coffee and light meal vocational training resources, focusing on the cultivation of practical technology, strengthening the employment and entrepreneurship abilities of the inmates serving prison sentence in the employment market. In the future, the training course can be directly put into the industrial market. Besides it can improve the economic ability and self-reliance and can also increase the new force on brand-new market for hand-brewed coffee and light meal industries.
