Faith Brings Strength; Baptism Fortifies Belief

—Hsinchu Prison Holds "Christmas Peace, Repentance, and Salvation Baptism"—

On December 23, 2025, Hsinchu Prison of the Agency of Corrections, Ministry of Justice, held the "Christmas Peace, Repentance, and Salvation Baptism" in its main auditorium. The ceremony was led by Pastor Lin Li of the Hsinchu Chapter of the Christian Prison Fellowship Taiwan, accompanied by a group of pastors and church members.

Deputy Warden Chuang Chin-Sheng of Hsinchu Prison, who highly values this initiative, delivered a speech expressing his gratitude to the Christian Prison Fellowship Taiwan (Hsinchu Chapter) for their long-term commitment to prison reform and for sharing the Word of God. He also commended the participating inmates for their bravery, noting that the decision to be baptized requires great resolve. He stated that this commitment to rebirth and reform is a remarkable act of transformation; by becoming people of God, they are destined for a brighter future filled with greater blessings.

The ceremony was presided over by Pastor Lin Li. Through the singing of hymns and Scripture readings, the inmates were invited to feel the presence of Jesus within their hearts. Under the guidance of the pastoral team, 106 inmates underwent the sacred rite of baptism. Using water and the unchanging Word of God, this solemn Christian ritual symbolized a definitive break from past sins and the beginning of a brand-new life.

Following the baptism, Pastor Tseng Cheng-chung led the Holy Communion prayer, signifying that God would henceforth dwell within their hearts. To conclude the event, Pastor Huang Ming-chen offered a final benediction, blessing all participants to embrace their new identities as "new creations" and to start their lives anew. The event concluded successfully at 11:00 AM.
